Ho ho ho .. Santa Trauma

Right folks ... time to let your hair down... This is the ultimate ... UK is apparently issuing a countrywide warning to schools to 'protect' the children from possible trauma of Santa Claus.
With a complete list of dos and don'ts ... you have to read it to believe it. Shocking, isn't it?

My comments ...
Ho ho ho ...
This is the most hilarious and ridiculous list of dos and don'ts I have ever encountered. Unbelievable. And this is a list drawn up by educators?
Ho ho ho ...

Read about it in the site I first came across this: the PCWatch site.

This is the full Daily Mail article itself.

In time to come, there will be a generation in UK that detests Christmas. This can have rippling effects as I believe many toys and other companies bank on Christmas to boost their sales.

The resultant would be that trade be affected as UK might reduce import and export. "Why trade if we don't celebrate Christmas". Tourist industry is also affected. UK may not produce any more movies related to Christmas or linger around that idea. (Destroy Christmas movie?!)

Worse, Santa is seen as a terrorist giving out bombs in packages. (Why not? Terrorism takes on many forms.. The Santa Form?)

It may be seen as something minor: Deterring kids from Christmas. But what if trade is really affected in the future. Detractors may argue that it is only a single event. I feel that it is one of the events that is celebrated internationally (I don't have any religion yet I celebrate it for... fun); thus it is a big event to earn money (Second to the new year).

Maybe I'm thinking too deeply into it.

Maybe they should just remove the holiday from their calendars and make it a normal working day for everyone. UK children would not have that 2 weeks vacation too.
